Pre-Registration Form
For those interested in becoming bidders, we offer the following information. Bidding fee will be $50.00 USD. For this you will receive a bidding number and catalog. In addition, all pre-registered bidders will receive a full color Surf Auction T-Shirt, VIP invite to Pre-Auction Party at Dukes Waikiki Restaurant, tickets to the 2005 "Hawaii All Collectors Show" and associated other goodies, courtesy of our sponsors. A retail value easily in excess of the $50.00 fee. Bidders who sign up the day of the auction will only receive a bidding number and a catalog.
Proxy Bidding Information:
"Can't make it to the auction in person? Then submit a "Proxy Bid" for live or silent auction items." This is quite easy.
Simply complete the pre-registration form. Then go to the item you would like to bid on, enter your maximum amount you would be prepared to pay and hit "submit". It's as simple as that. During both the silent auction and the main auction, your bid will be noted. Should no bids reach your maximum, then your bid will be declared the winner. Much like e-bay, we will automatically bid on your behalf up to your maximum bid. If the item ends for less than your maximum, that's all you'll have to pay. For example, you want to bid on a board that has a pre-auction estimate of $1000-$2000. You submit a "proxy" bid for $1800. The item is bid in $100 increments and bids up to $1500 on the auction floor and there are no higher bidders. You would then win the item as the next increment, which would be $1600 and the board would be yours. You would only pay the $1600 bid and save the $200 difference to your maximum bid. Of course if it bid over $1800, then you would loose.
This will apply to both "main" auction items and "silent" auction items. To be able to apply these bids, we must have your bid by midnight, Hawaii time, Friday July 22nd. That will give us time to process all bids and register them with the auctioneer.

NOTICE: Hawaii Surfing Promotions cannot be responsible for lost, waylaid, misplaced or late registration. All registrants will receive confirmation by email, phone, FAX, or post. Pre-Registration packets will be mailed to the the registered bidders on the 10th of July 2005. If you would like to receive packets in any other form, or at an alternative location than one supplied, please advise accordingly.
