Surfboards Hawaii Makaha Point Gun by Dick Brewer 13'0" 1964 (10r)
This board was built especially for Makaha Point by Dick Brewer for James Arness. Being tall and a big man, Arness wanted a big board and boy did he get it! 13' long, 25 1/2 " wide and 4 3/4" thick. Brewer said it was the biggest board he ever shaped and never wanted to do another one! Used every winterwhen he visited Makaha,on his last visit,Arness left it with Buffalo Keaulana. Buffalo and his family used it for paddling and diving and nearly forty years later, returned it to Arness. The board has been fully restored to its original glory and is a testament to the man who shaped it and really to the man who rode it! Pre-auction estimate: $7500-$15,000NO RESERVE.
