Dick Brewer shaped for John Van Ornum 8'5" 1975 (10r)
This is part of our "Dick Brewer '70's set". A classic North Shore speed model custom made for John Van Ornum. Originally from Newport Beach, Van Ornum was a fluid goofy-footer known for his smooth tube riding style. Living on the North Shore during the 70's, John remembered this board as "one of the best boards I ever had". Now, a long time school teacher and resident of Molokai, John continues to actively support surfing causes. This particular board has an ultra pale yellow tint bottom, black pin line on lap, blue glass on fin and small Brewer laminate on deck. Restored to original condition with Brewer signature for John. pre-auction estimate: $2000-$4000 NO RESERVE
